Beautiful couple of medical packages issued to the Italian Royal Army (Regio Esercito Italiano) during WWII. The first packet, named “Triangolo di tela di cotone” (“Cotton cloth triangle”), contains, inside a grey-green cardboard envelope, a large triangular dressing: except for a small hole in the wrapper, right above the red cross, the item is sold in excellent conditions. The second packet, instead, holds, inside a pink wrapping paper with explicative band, 12 “Compresse di mussola idrofila” (“Absorbent muslin compresses”), «cm. 36 x 40 ciascuna / Sterilizzate per un'ora a 120 C.» (“36 x 40 cm each / Sterilized for an hour at 120 C.”), for different types of medications, in really perfect conservation conditions. Both manufactured by the historical Military Chemical Pharmaceutical Institute of Florence, the dressings suit particularly well for the placement in a collection dedicated to the Italian military healthcare 1940-1945.
