Interesting educative 78 rpm record, dating back to the 1920s-1930s. Published by La voce del padrone (the Italian division of the British Gramophone Company), the disc, belonging to the prestigious Serie R (āR Seriesā) of the Disco āGrammofonoā (āGramophone Recordā) line, ferreted out in the Catalogo dischi 1930 (ā1930 Record Catalogueā) - see photo -, collected four exercises of rhythmic gymnastics for schools, drawn up by Prof. Vito Grilli and declaimed by the shrill voice of Prof. Gavino Gabriel (1881-1980), Sardinian composer, pioneer of Italian ethnomusicology and first director of the Discoteca di Stato (Italian public institute for the preservation of sound heritage). Still provided with its original advertising sleeve - even though worn out -, the 78 rpm, manufactured in shellac, reports a pair of scratches on the second track of the B side, and tiny signs of wear at the label of the same side, but otherwise it's sold in very good conditions, still fitted with the dealer's sticker (the āCasa della Musicaā shop of Ilio Giannelli, in Fillungo Street in Lucca). A Guerra e Pace exclusive find at a really shocking price!
