Beautiful “HB - Staatliches Hofbräuhaus München” (“Munich State Court Brewery”) beer stein, of West German production, dating back to the 1960s. Manufactured, according to tradition, in stoneware, the mug, cylindrical in shape, has a capacity of 1 liter, and is provided with a wide handle; on the bottom, in addition to the marking of a mysterious kiln («BM»), the inscription «West Germany» is to be seen. Bierkrüge as this one are still nowadays customized by producers, and supplied to pubs and festivals to serve their own beverages, for advertising purposes. Not showing any breaks, the article for sale bears, printed in blue, the trademark of the ancient State Court Brewery of Munich (Staatliches Hofbräuhaus München), established in 1589 by William V, Duke of Bavaria, to avoid having to import foreign beer for his army, and still running today. A magnificent collection piece for all beer maniacs!
